Stan Kramer

Assistant Conductor

Since the fall of 2017, Stan Kramer has been the assistant conductor and trumpet player for the Callanwolde Concert Band. Stan is currently the Director of Bands at Strong Rock Christian School in Locust Grove, GA, a position that he has held since May 2024.

Prior to his tenure at Strong Rock Christian School, Stan was Director of Bands at Union Grove High School, a position for which he was selected when the school opened in August 2000. Previously, he was the Assistant Director of Bands at Jonesboro High School and Director of Bands at Burke County Middle School. He is a native of Clayton County Georgia and a graduate of Morrow High School. He received his Bachelor of Music Education degree from the University of South Carolina in Columbia, SC, and a master’s degree in Music Education from Reinhardt University in Waleska, GA, and has completed additional coursework in school administration from the University of West Georgia.

Stan has worked for over 30 years as a conductor, clinician, and adjudicator in Georgia and South Carolina, and recently retired from the Georgia Public School system. His past and present professional affiliations include the National Association for Music Education, International Association of Jazz Educators, Georgia Music Educators Association, National Band Association, the International Trumpet Guild, and Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia professional music fraternity. Stan is active as a trumpet player in the metro Atlanta area with Tara Winds Community Band, also serving as associate conductor since the fall of 2021. Stan and his wife Lesley live in McDonough and have two grown children Jeffrey Crozier and Katherine Crozier-Price and a grandson Charles.
